Position SummaryAs a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Coalfire, you'll be a self-starter passionate about cloud technology and adept at problem-solving. You'll work within major public clouds using automation to operate cutting-edge CSP offerings. This role supports leading cloud software companies by ensuring seamless reliability and scalability of their SaaS products for enterprises and government agencies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with client product teams and stakeholders to maintain secure cloud infrastructure.
- Implement automated orchestration and configuration management techniques.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) codebases.
- Design, deploy, and manage secure enterprise servers and cloud architectures.
- Define, implement, and upgrade client CI/CD infrastructure.
- Act as a SME for AWS, Azure, and GCP, optimizing their native services in client environments.
- Configure and optimize cloud-based tools, managing costs, security, and compliance.
- Identify repetitive tasks and automate them.
- Respond to alerts and review dashboards using tools like Splunk and Elastic Stack.
- Provide 24/7/365 support via client ticketing systems.
- Lead incident response and disaster recovery planning and exercises.
- Participate in on-call rotations as needed.
- Assess current security measures, remediate deviations, and maintain detailed diagrams of client cloud architectures.
- Create, maintain, and review SOPs, runbooks, technical documents, and troubleshooting guides.
Qualifications
- BS or higher in IT or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of 24/7/365 production operations experience.
- 5+ years of experience with cloud operations and automation in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- 5+ years experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
- Expert-level IaaS platform experience (cloud certifications expected).
- Strong CI/CD pipeline experience.
- Container orchestration experience (Kubernetes, Docker, EKS, ECS).
- Experience with ticketing tools (Jira, ServiceNow).
- Experience with analytics tools (Splunk, Elastic Stack).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Cloud networking experience (Palo Alto, Cisco).
- Familiarity with security frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA, etc.).

Compensation
Salary Range: $78,000 - $135,000
