Full-Time Senior Software Engineer

At DNSFilter, we're enhancing workplace security with protective DNS and advanced content filtering. We need a skilled Senior Software Engineer specializing in Go development.

About the Role

You'll join a team building the query processor handling billions of daily DNS requests. Your role is crucial for our product.

Responsibilities

• Build, modify, and support applications using Go & Shell
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Contribute to process improvement, enhancing development & deployment
• Demonstrate ownership of projects, ensuring timely delivery
• Optimize software for peak performance and efficiency leveraging Go's concurrency capabilities

Requirements

• 5+ years' recent experience as a Go Software Engineer
• Experience in a fast-paced SaaS company
• Developed and maintained robust, scalable Go applications
• Strong distributed systems experience with at least 5 9s uptime
• Experience with the open telemetry stack (e.g., Prometheus)
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
• Proficiency in Git or other code versioning tools
• Understanding of all SDLC aspects
• Working knowledge of AWS and EKS
• Remote work experience with minimal supervision
• Passion for product quality and attention to detail
• Strong commitment to collaborative remote work
• Availability during 8 AM - 12 PM EST, Monday-Friday

Bonus Points

• Knowledge of other programming languages
• Experience with continuous integration systems (GitHub workflows, Makefiles)
• Familiarity with Kafka, Redis, and relational databases

Compensation

$135,000 - $170,000 USD
