Full-Time Senior Software Engineer (Frontend) - Core UI

Sanity.io is a modern, flexible content operating system.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll create the core user experience, improve editorial team experiences, and contribute to Sanity's platform.

1. Build user interfaces: Plan and implement delightful surfaces for multiple aspects of the editorial experience.
2. Think about collaboration: Sanity's real-time updates allow for seamless collaboration, with changes reflected immediately.
3. Debug and optimize: Maintain UI performance and identify/resolve performance bottlenecks.
4. Learn and teach: Help our community and developers by providing internal/external training and support.
5. Continuously improve: Enhance Sanity's test coverage, APIs, UI/state decoupling, and dependencies.

• Based in Europe.

• Effective collaborator with various roles (product managers, developers, clients, and content authors).

Technologies:

• React: Strong understanding of React concepts, tools, and potential optimization techniques.
• State management: Experience with Redux, Zustand, or similar solutions, including selectors and subscription techniques.
• Web concepts: Knowledge of HTTP requests, the event loop, promises, browser development tools, DOM, and browser APIs.
• Module systems and bundling: Familiarity with bundlers (Webpack, Vite, Rollup).
• TypeScript: Knowledge of TypeScript basics, including interfaces, types, generics, and best practices.
• Unit testing: Experience with frameworks like Jest, Vitest, or Mocha.

Bonus Skills:

• Automated browser testing (Cypress, Playwright, Puppeteer)
• Accessibility (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines)
