Full-Time Senior Software QA Engineer

Senior Software QA Engineer reports directly to the Software QA Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Implementing and developing test automation infrastructure for the Quality Assurance team.
• Developing test automation, establishing coding standards and best practices.
• Analyzing and discovering new automation tools.
• Maintaining the test automation environment.
• Implementing tools, standards, and best practices.
• Working with the Test architect to design and implement the Automation framework.
• Developing and implementing automation test planning and strategy.
• Maintaining and overseeing test environments and test data.
• Ensuring functional test environments for test automation.
• Designing and developing automated test scripts using standard automation tools and frameworks.
• Conducting code reviews on teammates' pull requests.
• Maintaining and updating automated test scripts.
• Planning automated suites to support project teams during regression testing.
• Collaborating with teammates to establish internal processes and best practices for Software Quality Assurance.
• Proposing and implementing process improvements for the QA and project teams.
• Allocating work, estimation, and script development within the automation team.
• Staying updated with new testing tools and strategies.
• Participating in agile ceremonies (scrum meetings, sprint planning, retrospectives) and providing feedback.
• Attending production deployments and monitoring deployment status after sanity testing.
• Creating user documentation for configurable components or functionalities.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, manual testers) globally.
• Integrating automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Executing test cases and scripts (regression testing, white/black box, end-to-end).
• Assessing testing scope and creating test suites in Zephyr for JIRA.
• Reviewing and collating test cycle metrics (progress, results, defects, risks).
• Investigating and debugging test failures, providing reports and collaborating with the development team.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Test Automation Engineer or similar role.
• Experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, WebdriverIO, TypeScript, etc.).
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, design patterns, processes, best practices, and Agile development.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts, performance testing, and security testing.
• Ability to work a flexible night shift schedule (8pm-4am PHT, adjusting to 8pm-5am PHT).

Location: Work-from-home position in Manila, Philippines (Metro Manila, Bataan, Batangas, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Pampanga, Rizal, Tarlac).
