Full-Time Senior Staff Cloud Security Engineer

The Team This role is part of the Security Engineering Org reporting to the Senior Manager of Public Cloud Security Engineering. The team builds cutting-edge technology to reduce risk on sensitive assets, guides security operations teams, and shifts security perception from blocker to enabler.

The Role The Senior Staff Cloud Security Engineer (Team Lead) is a technical lead in the ServiceNow Public Cloud Security Engineering team. They engineer solutions to secure ServiceNow Public Cloud across Azure, AWS, and GCP. The role ensures the team uses industry best practices and cutting-edge solutions.

• Develop Strategy and Vision for securing ServiceNow public clouds based on security risk, industry trends, and compliance requirements.
• Provide technical expertise throughout design, implementation, and delivery of scalable security controls and solutions.
• Transform business requirements and functional specifications into designs.
• Represent the Security Engineering team to internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor a team of cloud security engineers.
• Influence key technical decisions and drive cross-functional execution to build and manage cutting-edge security solutions.
• Partake in efforts shaping the organization's security policies and standards for hybrid cloud environments.
• Strategically address global events and industry trends.
• Experience leveraging or critically thinking about integrating AI into work processes.

To be successful:

• Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or information technology with 12+ years of proven experience.
• Extensive knowledge of multiple public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) foundation services.
• In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Linux, UNIX, Windows).
• In-depth knowledge of networking (routing, switching, load-balancing, IDS/firewalls).
• Proficient in programming languages and scripting (Java Script, Python, Bash, C/C++).
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools (AWS CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Experience with containerization on Cloud, AKS or EKS.
• Experience with Cloud Security Posture Management.
• Design security architecture for hybrid clouds.
• Automating operations and capacity planning.
