Full-Time Senior Staff Cloud Security Engineer

This role is part of the Security Engineering Org, reporting to the Senior Manager of Public Cloud Security Engineering.

The Senior Staff Cloud Security Engineer (Team Lead) will lead a team of cloud security engineers and will provide technical expertise.

1. Develop strategy for securing ServiceNow public clouds based on risk, trends, and compliance.
2. Provide technical expertise during design, implementation, and delivery of security controls.
3. Transform business requirements into designs.
4. Represent the Security Engineering team to internal and external stakeholders.
5. Lead and mentor cloud security engineers.
6. Influence technical decisions and drive cross-functional execution.
7. Shape organization's security policies and standards for hybrid cloud environments.
8. Address global events and industry trends.
9. Explore AI integration into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or IT with 12+ years of experience.
• Extensive knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP foundation services.
• In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Linux, UNIX, Windows).
• In-depth knowledge of networking (routing, switching, load-balancing, security).
• Proficient in programming languages and scripting (JavaScript, Python, Bash, C/C++).
• Experience with infrastructure automation (AWS CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Experience with containerization (AKS, EKS).
• Experience with Cloud Security Posture Management.
• Hybrid cloud security architecture design.
