Full-Time Senior Wireless Network Engineer

Symbotic is seeking a Senior Wireless Network Engineer to work within the Product IT department, providing technical support on data networks for internal and/or external customers.

Responsibilities include:

• Answering technical questions
• Recommending and implementing approved courses of action
• Providing technical leadership for wireless data network problem escalation and resolution
• Reviewing, designing, and supporting wireless network infrastructure (WLAN/WWAN), Firewalls, and Cabling
• Working with other IT functions (Unified Communications, End User Services) to design and support systems for internal needs
• Researching new technologies and evaluating their possible use for internal and external customer needs
• Managing projects from initial scoping to deployment
• Troubleshooting system outages and collaborating with technical staff to resolve issues
• Solving problems relating to mission-critical services to prevent recurrence, automating responses to routine service conditions

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience
• At least 8 years of experience as a network engineer in wireless local and wide area networks
• Experience with HP Aruba wireless technology, including implementing 802.1x, Airwave, and ClearPass
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies, deployment, and optimization
• Experience with 4G/LTE and CBRS (preferred)
• Experience with network performance monitoring (bandwidth, throughput, end-user experience)
• Experience setting up a high-availability data center environment across multiple sites
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows servers, with emphasis on Linux, virtualization technologies, and network monitoring tools
• Experience with Networking technologies and topologies (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, etc.), Security Information Management, IPS/IDS, Firewalls, DLP, and behavioral/risk-based security frameworks
• Experience with Microsoft Azure networking
• Knowledge of Deployment technologies including Kickstart, RPM creation, and automation tools such as Ansible
• Experience working in a multi-tenant high uptime production environment
• Strong customer service skills for client interactions
• Willingness to try new technologies, methods, and processes
• Ability to provide Tier 3 on-call support coverage
• Creating manuals and support documentation
• Providing technical assessment of requirements from conception to launch
• Experience with data center technologies like server designs and configurations for various computing scenarios (Hyperconverged/SAN/NAS)
• Experience with Active Directory, and Windows/Linux integration and two-factor OS authentication
• Certifications or progress toward certifications such as: CCNA, CCNP, CWNA, CPI
• Inside plant engineering experience & involvement in fiber and copper plant planning, HVAC/UPS/Gen/Fire Suppression
• Experience with installation and maintenance of outdoor fixed wireless systems (microwave, millimeter wave, unlicensed 5.8 GHz radios)

Requirements:

• Up to 10% travel may be required
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive/fly to client locations
• Own a credit card for managing and reimbursing expenses bi-weekly
