Job Details

We are seeking a high-energy, experienced, customer-focused Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our Managed Services team.

This role supports our clients' hosted cloud applications and accounts. You'll report to the head of Managed Services, working with engineers and Atlassian administrators to handle various customer requests, automate solutions, resolve technical issues, improve operational efficiency, adhere to governance, and expand our Hosting and Support practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain application availability, stability, and scalability.
  • Implement application and infrastructure changes.
  • Monitor architecture through automation and custom solutions.
  • Interact with clients to address requests, proactively resolve issues, and recommend best practices.
  • Meet team deliverables to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Standardize best practices, create scalable processes, and document specifications.
  • Collaborate with solution architects on design and implementation.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3+ years Linux OS (Ubuntu/CentOS) experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo).
  • 2+ years AWS system administration or application support experience.
  • Deep understanding of AWS services (EC2, RDS, EBS, S3, etc.) and experience architecting solutions.
  • Analyze environments for improvement potential.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure load/performance metrics and tools (e.g., ELK, Splunk, New Relic, CloudWatch).
  • Familiarity with IT change management and DevOps (CI/CD) tools/solutions.
  • Understanding of information security and regulatory compliance (SOC, PCI, HIPAA).
  • Experience with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
  • Comfortable with diverse technical problem sets.
  • Familiarity with database technologies (MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL).
  • Experience handling customer interactions.
  • Ability to provide 24/7/365 support, including on-call weekend rotations.
  • Excellent communication skills, time management, and a collaborative approach.
  • Strong focus on customer satisfaction.
