CyberArk Cloud Engineering is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer with an "automation first" mindset, passionate about performance, stability, and security, to take ownership of CyberArk SaaS reliability.
The Site Reliability Engineer will collaborate closely with development teams and DevOps engineers to ensure the security, performance, resiliency, and scalability of production services.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and enhance the availability, performance, and security of production services.
- Implement preventative measures to boost production service reliability.
- Mitigate production system issues and develop automated solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Improve and enhance the monitoring system for enhanced service reliability, providing dashboards for other CyberArk teams to deliver excellent customer service.
- Automate common and repetitive tasks using Ansible and scripting languages.
- Triage and manage escalation of incidents.
- Influence service design and architecture to proactively prevent system failures.
- Participate in on-call rotation and act as an escalation contact for incidents.
- Contribute to performance analysis and troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in site reliability, DevOps engineering, system administration, or application development.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Linux/Unix and Windows OS.
- Knowledge of network architecture and security configurations.
- Hands-on experience with scripting technologies (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Python, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Understanding of information security in diverse environments.
Compensation:
$92,000 - $135,000/year, plus commissions or discretionary bonus (performance-based). Base pay may vary based on skills and experience.
