We are in search of a Software Developer to join our team, primarily focusing on SharePoint development and cloud migration. This role is located in Chicago, Illinois and offers a short term contract employment opportunity. As a Software Developer, you will take a critical role in our migration project from on-premise to cloud, utilizing your proficiency in SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint Online, as well as experience with SPFX development and design.
Responsibilities:
Translate business requirements into technical specifications, designing and implementing user-friendly and visually appealing SharePoint interfaces.
Lead the migration of existing SharePoint 2016 applications to SharePoint Online, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance throughout the process.
Develop and maintain SharePoint applications and customizations, including custom forms, workflows, and document management systems.
Leverage your skills in React to build dynamic and interactive user interfaces for SharePoint applications.
Design, develop, and maintain SPFX solutions to enhance user experience and functionality of SharePoint applications.
Utilize the SharePoint Framework (SPFX) to create modern SharePoint components and extensions.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable TypeScript code for SPFX development.
Utilize PnP Controls to streamline development and improve performance.
Utilize SharePoint REST API to interact with SharePoint data and services.
Provide technical support and troubleshoot for SharePoint applications as needed.
Requirements
Applicant must possess a minimum of 7 years' experience in a Software Developer role or similar.
Proficient in Atlassian Jira, Backend Development, and Bug Tracking.
Demonstrated experience with C++ and Database management.
Proven skills in AB Testing, Agile Scrum, Ajax, and API Development.
Proficiency in ASP.NET, Sharepoint Development, React.js, and Typescript is required.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred.
Continual learner who stays up-to-date with the latest industry trends.
Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proven track record of successful project delivery.
Must have the legal right to work in the location of the job.
