Full-Time Software Development Engineer in Test

Purpose of your roleThe Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) is responsible for delivering high-quality code and test automation solutions.

What you do

• Test Automation Development: Writing automated test scripts. Implementing unit tests, integration tests, API tests, and UI tests. Build and enhance test frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Robot Framework).
• Continuous Integration & Deployment (CI/CD): Setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Ensuring automated tests run in pre-production environments. Debugging and fixing issues.
• API & Backend Testing: Writing automated test cases for RESTful or GraphQL APIs. Ensuring data integrity and validating API responses.
• Code Quality & Static Analysis: Reviewing code for testability and quality. Using static analysis tools (SonarQube, ESLint, Checkstyle).
• Support Engineering Teams: Collaborate closely with developers, helping to identify and address issues early.
• Drive Efficiency: Automate repetitive tasks and leverage advanced automation tools.
• Foster Innovation in Testing: Advocate for the adoption of cutting-edge test automation tools.
• Coaching and Mentoring: Provide leadership within the Quality Engineering team.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• At least 5 years of software engineering experience. Minimum 3 years in an SDET role and 2 years in development.
• Extensive experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
• In-depth experience with API testing (RESTful services).
• Extensive knowledge of HTML/CSS and modern JavaScript technologies (React, TypeScript, Node.js).
• Experience with AWS solutions and environments.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices (TDD, Kanban, CI/CD).
• Proficient with version control systems (Git) and bug tracking tools (Jira).
• Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Desirable Experience

• Knowledge of financial services, payments, or fintech products.
• Experience in mobile app test automation.
• Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker).
• Understanding of security testing.
• Experience with load testing and stress testing.
