As a Software Engineering Manager in the ECS team, you'll actively engage in planning, design, and development of important projects within our D2C organization.
You will be a hands-on engineer with expertise in building full-stack cloud-native enterprise applications. Splitting your time 50/50 between developing software and leading an engineering team.
Responsibilities:
- Guide development of highly scalable and reliable technical solutions.
- Contribute hands-on to microservices (AWS) and web app (micro-frontend) development.
- Coach, support, and inspire software engineers, focusing on feedback and growth.
- Promote continuous learning and new ideas.
- Drive hiring, training, career plans, and performance reviews.
- Lead sizing, design, development, and testing of key programs.
- Actively participate in all development process levels (code/design reviews, collaboration).
- Own deliverables (ideation, testing, validation, deployment).
- Ensure stable Production operations (uptime, performance, reliability).
- Provide leadership on Lean/Agile principles and development practices.
- Maintain standards for regulatory compliance and information security.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years software development experience, 2+ years people management
- Full-stack cloud-native project experience (Agile/Scrum)
- AWS ecosystem experience (especially Node.js)
- Web application experience (Angular and/or React)
- Proven project delivery in technical lead or people management roles
- Understanding of design and engineering practices
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools (git, GitHub Actions, Docker)
