Beacon Biosignals is seeking a Software Quality Engineer IV to revolutionize precision medicine for the brain.
This role involves:
- Serving as a quality partner within software and machine learning squads.
- Guiding teams in compliant development.
- Maintaining software compliance processes across the product lifecycle.
- Providing company-wide training on SDLC practices and risk management.
- Representing Beacon in audits and inspections.
- Keeping pace with regulatory changes (e.g., IEC 62304).
- Overseeing validation of software tools and coordinating product releases.
What success looks like:
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance.
- Providing pragmatic guidance for teams.
- Driving scalable quality processes.
- Anticipating and mitigating compliance risks.
- Collaborating effectively across teams.
What you will bring:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality within the medical device industry.
- Proven ability to work autonomously with problem-solving skills.
- Experience implementing IEC 62304.
- Certified software quality engineer (CSQE).
- Knowledge of industry standards (21CFR 820, ISO 13485, ISO 14971).
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
