Position Overview This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in both automated and manual testing. You'll be a key part of our product development lifecycle, ensuring products and backend services are robust, secure, and user-friendly.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web applications (e.g., Cypress, Selenium).
- Develop and maintain automated backend and API test suites using technologies like JUnit, AssertJ, REST Assured, and Mockito.
- Contribute to contract testing using Pact tests.
- Execute manual and automated tests for RESTful APIs and backend services (negative paths, edge cases, error handling).
- Conduct performance and load testing, validating SLAs and identifying bottlenecks.
- Implement and work with CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub Actions) to integrate test automation.
- Apply BDD practices (e.g., Cucumber, Gherkin) where applicable.
- Use Postman or similar tools for manual API testing.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot test failures, analyze logs, and refine observability.
- Maintain high standards for quality, security, and compliance.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 4+ years' experience in quality assurance and software testing.
- Proven ability to design and implement automated and manual test cases.
- Hands-on experience with Cypress and/or Selenium.
- Experience with Postman, Swagger, or similar API testing tools.
- Familiarity with BDD methodologies and frameworks.
- Proficient in Java-based testing tools.
- Strong understanding of web technologies and RESTful APIs.
- Experience testing web applications across multiple browsers/devices.
- Proficiency with bug tracking tools like Jira.
- Exposure to CI tools like GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines.
- Familiarity with security and compliance considerations.
