Full-Time Software Tester

Software Tester Position at OTG

Responsibilities:

• Design, create, and execute manual and automated test cases for software functionality.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using a test management system (e.g., Jira).
• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and API testing to ensure system stability and reliability.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to refine testing requirements.
• Conduct API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger etc.
• Ensure test coverage across various levels (integration, system).
• Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Provide recommendations for software readiness.
• Work in an Agile development environment and participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
• Support the adoption of test automation frameworks.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in an Agile environment.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies (functional, regression, integration, exploratory).
• Experience with defect tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps).
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.).
• Automation experience with tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright (preferred).
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Willingness to collaborate with other departments.
• Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
• ISTQB certification (Foundation Level or higher) - preferred but not required.
