Solutions Consultant 2: The role is the evolution of the traditional Sales Engineering role, focusing on customer understanding and value realization.

Your Impact

  • Meet and exceed sales quotas.
  • Develop and implement strategic technical account plans targeting cross-platform solutions.
  • Position, demonstrate, and create high-level designs across the PANW portfolio based on customer needs.
  • Conduct discovery to understand technical, operational, and commercial imperatives of prospects/customers.
  • Collaborate with Professional Services, Customer Success, and Specialist teams for smooth implementation and adoption.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and influence through effective presentations, demos, technical engagements, and workshops.
  • Lead successful technical validation efforts for assigned opportunities.
  • Orchestrate support resources (Specialists, Channel Resources, Customer Support) for a cohesive strategy.
  • Promote end-to-end solutions (PANW/partner professional services) for faster business value realization.
  • Understand competitive landscape and differentiate leadership.
  • Continuously develop technical and professional skills to contribute to customer success.
  • Actively participate in the Solutions Consultant community and industry events.
  • Identify technical stakeholders, cultivate relationships, and build/drive security architecture transformation roadmaps.

Your Experience

  • Understanding of data networking and/or modern application design and cloud architectures.
  • Delivering cybersecurity solutions to solve technical challenges and influence business initiatives.
  • Influencing key stakeholders, both internally and externally, especially in pre-sales roles.
  • Creating and delivering technical presentations, workshops, and validation engagements.
  • Experience selling, designing, implementing, or managing solutions such as Network Security, SASE, SaaS, CNAPP and/or SOC Transformation Technologies.
  • Collaboration with Customer Support functions for successful implementation and adoption.
  • Complex sales experience involving long processes, multiple buying centers, and multi-product solutions.
  • Strong English proficiency.
