Solutions Consultant is the evolution of the traditional Sales Engineering role, aligning how we best serve our customers.
Provide technical leadership and expertise to customers in their security transformation journey.
Define technical solutions securing key business imperatives and ensuring value realization of investment with Palo Alto Networks.
Evangelize industry leadership in on-prem, cloud, and security operations services, establishing PANW as customer's cybersecurity partner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed sales quotas by building and implementing strategic, technical account plans.
- Understand key customer business requirements and position/demonstrate PANW portfolio solutions, creating business value.
- Drive customer adoption of Palo Alto Networks Platform.
- Build customer relationships, enabling increased productivity, operational efficiency, security efficacy, and innovation flexibility.
- Conduct discovery to understand customer technical, operational, and commercial imperatives.
- Collaborate with Professional Services, Customer Success, and Specialist teams for successful implementation and adoption.
- Demonstrate strong communication and influencing skills through presentations and demos.
- Lead technical validation efforts based on best practices to ensure technical wins.
- Demonstrate cross-functional leadership, driving collaboration and orchestrating resources.
- Promote end-to-end solutions, including PANW and/or partner professional services to ensure customer value realization.
- Understand the competitive landscape, effectively differentiating PANW's leadership in cybersecurity.
- Invest in technical and professional skills; participate in Solutions Consultant community and industry events.
- Identify technical stakeholders and build relationships to drive security architecture transformation.
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in pre-sales/sales engineering or graduate of Palo Alto Networks Academy Program.
- Foundational understanding of data networking, security architectures, and modern cloud computing environments.
- Experience delivering cybersecurity solutions, influencing new business initiatives.
- Influencing key stakeholders (customer-facing or internal).
- Experience in pre-sales role, creating and delivering technical presentations.
- Experience in selling, designing, implementing, or managing solutions like Network Security, SASE, SaaS, CNAPP and/or SOC Transformation Technologies.
- Partnering with Customer Support for successful implementation.
- Understanding of sales processes with multiple buying centers and multi-product solutions.
- Proficient in English.
- Travel may be required.
