Solutions Consultant is the evolution of the traditional Sales Engineering role, focusing on understanding customer needs, guiding solution implementation, and maximizing investment value with Palo Alto Networks.
You provide technical leadership, expertise, and guidance throughout the customer's security transformation journey.
Your role is key in defining technical solutions that address customer business needs and ensure the value of their investment with Palo Alto Networks.
You'll highlight Palo Alto Networks' industry leadership in on-prem, cloud, and security operations services, establishing PANW as the customer's preferred cybersecurity partner.
Your Impact

- Meet and exceed sales quotas by developing and implementing strategic, technical account plans focused on cross-platform solutions.
- Position, demonstrate, and create high-level designs across the entire PANW portfolio based on customer needs.
- Conduct thorough discovery to understand and articulate technical, operational, and commercial needs of prospects and customers.
- Collaborate closely with Professional Services, Customer Success, and Specialist teams to ensure smooth solution implementation and adoption.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and influence through effective presentations, customer-specific demos, technical engagements, and workshops.
- Lead successful technical validation efforts based on best practices to secure technical wins.
- Orchestrate support resources (Specialists, Channel Resources, Customer Support) to ensure a unified, cohesive strategy.
- Promote end-to-end solutions involving PANW and/or partner professional services to accelerate customer value realization.
- Understand the competitive landscape and highlight PANW's leadership.
- Continuously develop technical and professional skills to enhance contributions to customer success, participating in the Solutions Consultant community and industry events.
- Identify technical stakeholders and build relationships to drive security architecture transformation.
Your Experience
- Strong understanding of data networking, modern application design, and cloud architectures.
- Experience delivering cybersecurity solutions that address technical challenges and drive new business initiatives.
- Ability to influence and gain buy-in from key stakeholders, preferably with experience in a presales role.
- Experience creating and delivering technical presentations, workshops, or technical validation engagements.
- Experience in selling, designing, implementing, or managing network security, SASE, SaaS, CNAPP, and/or SOC Transformation Technologies.
- Collaboration with Customer Support to ensure successful implementation and adoption of solutions.
- Preference for complex sales involving long processes, multiple buying centers, and multi-product solutions.
- Fluency in English, Dutch, and/or French.
