What you will be doing:
In this role, you will be responsible for providing clear direction, leadership, and mentorship to a cross-functional squad of frontend, backend, and mobile developers, with a total of six direct reports and other attached functions, like QA engineers or UI/UX designers.
- Provide regular feedback, coaching, and support to enhance your team's performance while promoting a positive team culture and cohesion within the squad through team-building activities, recognition programs, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
- Foster collaboration and communication among team members, as well as with other departments or stakeholders, promoting a positive and respectful work environment.
- Act as a primary point of contact providing updates on project status, addressing concerns, and managing expectations to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within the squad, ensuring alignment with business objectives and deadlines.
- Identify potential risks or obstacles to project success and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the squad, including process optimization, skills development, and adoption of new technologies or methodologies by staying up to date with industry trends.
- Encourage knowledge sharing and cross-training within the squad, fostering a culture of learning and development to enhance overall team capabilities.

- Knowledge or previous experience with our tech stack and developing cloud solutions is a plus (our tech stack: React/Next.js, Python/Django, Postgres, Docker/Kubernetes, etc.).
