Full-Time Sr Cyber Security Engineer

We are looking for a Sr. Cyber Security Engineer to join our NBCU Security Architecture team.

This role partners with NBCUniversal businesses, enterprise IT, and other Cyber Security teams to ensure secure technology design and deployment aligned with Cyber Security and enterprise strategies.

Responsibilities include conducting security and threat analysis for new/modified tech deployments, ensuring Information Security best practices are incorporated into system designs.

This role functions as a technical and engineering SME across network, application, cloud, and enterprise security.

Collaborates across the Cyber organization, partners with business stakeholders, provides security guidance and/or mitigation requirements, and effectively communicates key programs and services to gain business support.

Basic Requirements:

• Practical engineering experience in enterprise IT or Cyber Security.
• Intermediate-level knowledge in at least one technical area (e.g., Cloud, Network, Endpoint) and willingness to learn other areas.
• Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to explain common threats to Network, Web, and Application components.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 or CWE/SANS Top 25.
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills for concurrent projects.
• Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.

Desired Characteristics:

• Advanced knowledge in one or more technical or cyber security areas.
• 5+ years' experience providing cyber security guidance/consultative services.
• Experience in Threat Analysis and modeling.
• Understanding and applying security controls (e.g., Cloud Security Matrix, NIST CSF, CIS Critical Security Controls) or threat analysis frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK, STRIDE).
• Understanding of data and privacy regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, SOX, HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA).
• Knowledge of common Cloud Services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Experience with diagramming tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Visio).
• Experience with industry frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK).

Additional Requirements:

• Fully Remote position (from a non-NBCUniversal worksite).

Salary range: $105,000 - $135,000
