Full-Time Sr Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer with expertise in Python, SQL, and Snowflake, and hands-on experience with BigQuery and Databricks.

You will build and maintain scalable data pipelines and architecture to support analytics, data science, and business intelligence initiatives. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive data reliability, quality, and performance.

1. Contribute to the design and architecture of a lakehouse solution, potentially leveraging technologies like Iceberg, Snowflake, and BigQuery.
2. Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT workflows using Python and SQL to handle structured and semi-structured data.
3. Partner with data scientists and analysts to provide high-quality, accessible, and well-structured data.
4. Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance across pipelines and data stores.
5. Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance the performance of data systems and pipelines.
6. Participate in code reviews and help establish best engineering practices.
7. Mentor junior data engineers and support their technical development.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years using BigQuery or Snowflake
• Strong programming skills in Python for data processing and automation
• Advanced SQL proficiency for querying and transforming large datasets
• Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and performance optimization techniques
• Proven experience in data cataloging and inventorying large-scale datasets
• Hands-on experience implementing and working with Medallion architecture in data lakehouse environments.
• Experience with Iceberg, Data Mesh, and dbt (preferred).
• English proficiency (B2 or higher)
• Computer science, Engineering, or a related field degree.
