Full-Time Sr Data Engineer (Scala/Spark)

As the Senior Data Engineer for the Data & Analytics team, you will build data pipelines to land, profile, and store multiple internal & external datasets, and build applications to support business partners' strategic decision making for analytics solutions in the media industry.

Key responsibilities:

• Contribute to the overall Data Product roadmap.
• Understand business partners' challenges and develop analytical tools.
• Leverage prototyping to propose business solutions.
• Educate business partners on architecture, capabilities, best practices.
• Assist in analyzing business requirements, data sources, transformation requirements.
• Write clear documentation and architecture diagrams.
• Implement scalable, distributed, and highly available systems using cloud technologies (AWS).
• Demonstrated experience with SQL, AWS EMR/Lambda, Iceberg, Linux, Python, Web technologies, APIs, Spark, Scala.
• Experience in AWS tech stack (2+ years).
• Basic understanding of relational and non-relational data modeling.
• Experience with Python and Pandas in AWS Lambda (desired)

Desired characteristics:

• Experience in the media industry, including linear & digital platforms (Operative One, Google Ad Manager, Freewheel, etc.)
• Experience with Snowflake or other similar tools (Redshift, SingleStore, Athena, MSSQL Server, Oracle) preferred.
• Understanding of media ad sales and ad serving technologies.
• Experience with BI tools (MicroStrategy).
• Strong analytical focus, result-oriented, problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and collaborative.
