About HausHaus is a decision science platform for the new digital privacy paradigm. It uses causal inference models for experiments to help brands understand marketing, pricing, and promotion impact. The team includes former product managers, economists, and engineers from tech giants.
Mission: Make this technology available to all businesses. Experiment design, data cleaning, and analysis/insights are handled for you.
Role: Build robust, scalable systems for handling data workloads. The Data Platform is central to Haus's product.
Ideal Candidate: Accomplished engineering leader, excellent communicator, experienced with scalable distributed systems, and proficient in data systems/workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Drive engineering execution within the Data Platform team.
- Craft, communicate, and execute the team's vision and roadmap.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and other engineering/science teams.
- Work with scientists and engineers to create efficient data workflows.
- Articulate tradeoffs and ensure high-quality delivery.
Requirements:
- 5+ years managing engineering teams building/operating data systems.
- 10+ years of overall software engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience building data systems/products.
- Strong execution skills and the ability to balance code/architecture and leadership.
- Bias towards quantitative progress measures.
- Experience managing and growing engineers.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with data science/ML workflows in cloud computing.
- Earlier stage startup experience.
Education: BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
