Contractor Sr. Financial Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Implement process improvements to increase efficiency, such as developing Macros and VBA for report generation.
• Prepare and present financial statements and board reports.
• Extract and analyze data from Workday for report generation.
• Manually review and adjust reports as necessary before distribution.
• Create PowerPoint presentations to communicate financial information to various groups within the organization.
• Generate and update KPI reports for internal use.
• Run data reports, update schedules, and create PowerPoints.
• Handle day-to-day financial tasks in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Use business systems and data mining techniques to streamline accounting functions.
• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a financial analyst role, preferably within the education sector
• Proficient in using business systems to manage and analyze financial data
• Knowledge of data mining techniques and their application in financial analysis
• Ability to perform complex accounting functions accurately and in a timely manner
• Strong skills in financial analysis, with the ability to interpret and present financial data effectively
• Experience in KPI reporting and the ability to use these metrics to drive financial decision making
• Proficiency in financial reporting, including the preparation of financial statements
• Advanced skills in Excel VBA for financial modeling and data analysis
• Familiarity with the Workday financial management platform
• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
