Timmons Group is seeking a Senior Technical Analyst to join our GIS Services group to drive technical excellence to our clients on the West Coast.
As a Senior Technical Analyst, you will perform production tasks for geospatial projects and data management. You will assist and support Project Managers and Developers in meeting project deliverable requirements and deadlines.
Our Geospatial division supports clients in industries like state and local governments, utilities, transportation, natural resources, forestry and fish and wildlife.

Essential Duties:
- Offer consulting on data management best practices, including workflows, tools, governance models, and integration patterns.
- Lead design and development of enterprise geographic information systems (GIS).
- Conduct data model design, apply sophisticated geospatial analysis techniques, and collaborate with the development team.
- Provide GIS support, training, and assistance, as well as troubleshooting complex problems.
- Support development and maintenance of Esri-based GIS solutions and applications.
- Perform cartographic tasks to develop end-user map products, and provide ongoing support for GIS programs and functions requiring programming and analysis.
Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Surveying, Engineering, Geography, Information Systems, or related field, and at least eight years of experience.
- Proficiency in Esri ArcGIS Software (Desktop, Extensions, ArcGIS Enterprise Server & Portal), with expertise in ArcGIS Server and geodatabases.
- Experience managing Esri versions and producing ArcGIS data services.
- Familiarity with Esri Production Mapping tools (Data Reviewer, Workflow Manager, Task Assistant manager, optionally LRS and Esri’s Roads and Highways).
- Competence in SQL Server and Oracle database development and usage, and fluency in scripting languages (SQL, Python, ArcPy, .NET).
- Proficient in producing quality cartographic products using Esri and TileMill.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
