Sr. Manager, Commercial Data Management will lead strategy, governance, and execution of master data initiatives across key domains (e.g., product, customer, supplier) to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define data needs, optimize processes, and implement MDM technologies while ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
Ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in MDM, strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, and a proven ability to drive data quality and operational excellence in a biotech or life sciences environment.
Reports to the Director of Commercial Data Architecture & Operations, as part of the Customer Experience Insights & Operations (CxI&O) team for North America.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the creation, maintenance, and quality of master data.
- Design, deploy, and manage Master Data Management solutions.
- Collaborate with Commercial teams to understand data needs.
- Manage relationships with data vendors.
- Define data quality checks.
- Enforce data governance policies.
- Understand the data lifecycle.
- Analyze data to provide actionable insights.
- Provide training and support to partners.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 8-10 years of Master Data Management experience
- Experience with Agile/Scrum, Jira, Azure Dev/Ops, cloud data warehouse platforms (e.g., Snowflake)
- Proven record of managing data needs
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical data sources, commercial data needs, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Experience with data management and analysis tools (Python, R, SQL, Tableau)
- Strong strategic and analytical capabilities
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities
- Experience in rare disease, hematology, immunology, or specialty-distributed products (preferred)
Compensation:
Base salary range: $140,000-$185,000 annually.
