As a Sr. Marketing Analytics Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for ad-hoc analysis of Sales, Marketing, and Customer data. Directly lead or support assigned analytic initiatives across Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, Customer Research, and Marketing Communications. Develop new analytics capabilities that are scalable, easily understood, and solve business requirements. This role will regularly work across teams and functions, with new initiatives primarily focused on Marketing.
Analytics development:
- Directly lead or support analytic initiatives across Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, Customer Research, and Marketing Communications.
- Advise on where new insights and efficiencies are needed to support QAD's strategic initiatives based on best practices.
- Leverage best practices across systems, coordinating with SMEs to ensure alignment (e.g., creating a new Opportunity KPI dashboard in the CRM system).
- Uncover and champion meaningful insights.
- Drive towards simplicity and scale across functions and territories (e.g., clear and consistent data definitions for market segmentation across Marketing Automation and CRM).
Ad-hoc reporting:
- Address ad-hoc reporting requests from across QAD, primarily Sales, Executive leadership, and Marketing.
- Leverage creative solutions, considering whether "about right" is sufficient vs. precise results.
- Resolve short-term reporting requests (e.g., analysis for RFPs, customer analysis). Leverage standard practices and reports when appropriate.
- Drive towards solutions that reduce ad-hoc requests (e.g., using self-service tools or automating common tasks for quick turnaround).
Best practice:
- Stay current on external best-in-class analytics and data management methods, tools, and technologies to drive innovation.
- Challenge internal status quo and test assumptions that impact outcomes.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of QAD's business objectives, data, processes, and architecture across various systems (Marketing Automation, CRM, Data Warehouse, GCA, ABM, digital advertising, website-related systems).
- Maintain key data definitions across systems (e.g., vertical market to SIC code mapping).
Coordination and consultation:
- Serve as a data and analysis SME resource for other functions, consulting on impact assessment and data architecture.
- Focus on efficiencies, especially in data redundancy, silos, and unnecessary translations.
- Tie siloed systems together where beneficial for process and insight.
Requirements:
- At least 4 years of experience in Sales and Marketing analytics, preferably with experience in customer segmentation, campaigns, multi-touch attribution, web analytics, and sales funnels.
- MBA or equivalent experience.
- Certifications in relevant technologies (Salesforce.com, Marketo, Google Analytics).
- Skilled working with CRM and Marketing Automation technologies.
- Certifications or equivalent experience in Salesforce.com, SQL, BigQuery, marketing automation, Data Studio, and Google Analytics.
- Hacker mentality and interest in new tools and technologies.
- Excellent consultative and communication skills in technical and business settings.
- Understanding of process through KPIs.
Travel: Less than 5%.
