About the Role:The Sr. Quality Assurance Specialist is a member of the Quality Assurance Team responsible for upholding clinical quality care standards among mental health providers. Working closely with the Director of Clinical Network, you will monitor mental care delivery quality and implement new clinical quality improvement plans.
Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct routine clinical documentation audits.
- Train and support a team of auditors to review clinical documentation ensuring clinical care standards are met.
- Support cross-functional projects to develop reporting of provider quality metrics, monitor provider performance, and enhance system efficiency.
- Investigate and document provider-related incidents, provide direct provider feedback, and escalate issues to management as needed.
- Develop and disseminate clinical resources to assist providers in meeting Octave's care standards.
- Develop, plan, manage, and monitor ongoing quality assurance-related projects based on identified areas of need.
- Support Director of Clinical Network with additional project management activities.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to Quality Assurance staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology or a related field required.
- Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of providing direct mental health services.
- 4+ years of experience in project management, clinical quality monitoring, or practice evaluation preferred.
- Direct client work experience desirable.
- Experience with electronic health record systems.
- Strong clinical judgment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Experience with quality chart review or audits for a healthcare organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience providing direct feedback to providers.
- Proactive and solution-oriented.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and strong Excel skills.
- Flexibility in the role and willingness to exceed job responsibilities.
- Ability to build relationships and work with cross-functional teams.
