Full-Time Sr. Quality Control Engineer

The Senior Quality Control Engineer will ensure products are designed, built, and produced in accordance with customer specifications and quality requirements. This position typically reports to QA Lead.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

• Perform various tests (smoke, regression, integration, performance, cross-browser, cross-platform, responsive, API, and any per test plan) to ensure software stability.
• Report clear bugs and track them using DevOps tools.
• Generate automation scripts, researching and utilizing tools to maximize automation.
• Collaborate with QC, development, and business groups for testing completion.
• Create detailed, comprehensive test cases, reviewing those created by others. Send test results report after confirmation with QA Lead.
• Build project documentation like user manuals, participate in full lifecycle development, conduct business requirements review, and verify requirements.
• Perform problem solving, static testing, UAT, and performance testing.
• Mentor and train junior engineers on policies and procedures, creating tasks for them.
• Identify root causes of quality problems and coordinate corrective actions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Architect new automated test strategies and frameworks, implement and automate tests for software requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance test automation framework and infrastructure.
• Execute and report on planned tests, report and manage defects, and regress software fixes for products.
• Assist development in replicating and debugging problems and creating new test automation solutions.
• Demonstrate innovation, leadership, and mentorship skills, with strong technical and programming/test automation skill set.
• May assist with performance evaluations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or IT, or equivalent experience.
• Professional certifications like ISTQB-CTFL or ISTQB-CTAL.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Automation experience with tools like Selenium Web Driver.
• Manual testing experience.
• Knowledge of testing phases and approaches (functional, regression, integration, end-to-end).
• Programming experience (as needed).
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, triage issues, react to changes, and work independently or in a team setting in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Hands-on experience with SQL commands.
