The Senior Manager, Social Media leads the strategic development and tactical execution of social media initiatives for a portfolio of clients, serving as both an internal leader and external social media counsel. This role acts as the primary subject matter expert, guiding clients in leveraging social media trends and technologies to achieve their marketing objectives within the pharmaceutical industry. Internally, the Senior Manager supports team planning, growth, and cross-department education to establish social media as a core organizational competency.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and project owner for assigned business portfolios, ensuring social media strategies align with client goals.
- Lead team planning and growth initiatives, including knowledge sharing and internal education across departments to drive social media adoption.
- Collaborate with clients to provide insights on social media trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
- Oversee social media analytics and reporting to ensure business KPIs and goals are achieved.
- Manage project delivery, ensuring initiatives are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with broader marketing objectives.
- Provide paid media expertise, including platform-specific tactical recommendations and integration within the broader digital ecosystem.
- Conduct social listening research to uncover insights, provide observations, and optimize data queries.
- Develop and manage influencer relationship programs, including identifying, analyzing, and curating influencers within specific patient populations.
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.

- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent education plus professional experience) required
- Approximately 5-8 years of related industry experience or consultative and agency experience; pharmaceutical experience a plus
- Applied experience in marketing and advertising, with expertise in digital strategy, media and technology
- Applied experience in social media and technology
- Knowledge of paid media and social listening
- Strong multitasker, problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment
