Contractor Staff Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and reconcile account details
• Handle and manage large data sets for accounting purposes
• Generate financial statements periodically
• Make necessary accounting entries and adjustments
• Utilize Excel for various accounting tasks and record keeping
• Coordinate with the existing staff accountant to balance workload
• Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and effective manner
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action when needed
• Utilize Yardi or MRI software for various accounting tasks (if experienced)
• Maintain equipment provided by the company for remote work.

Requirements

• Applicant must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Should have a deep understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
• Proven experience in an accounting role is required.
• Proficiency with accounting software is essential.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are required.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.
• Experience in preparing financial reports and statements is desired.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
• Familiarity with tax laws and regulations is preferred.
• Must have good organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required.
• Knowledge of Accounting Entries is necessary.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly is required.
• Certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is a plus.
• Must be adaptable to changing business needs and priorities.
