Full-Time Staff Data Governance Analyst

Role: As a Data Governance & Quality Analyst/Engineer, you'll drive strategy and execution for governance frameworks, data quality programs, and metadata tooling.

Responsibilities:

• Drive data governance roadmap aligned with product, engineering, and business goals.
• Design & implement scalable frameworks for data trust, security, and platform reusability.
• Establish & maintain data ownership models.
• Partner with Legal & stakeholders for data governance reviews.
• Coordinate policy awareness, adoption, & updates.
• Implement automated data quality checks.
• Monitor & manage data quality KPIs.
• Collaborate with data engineers for schema validation, anomaly detection, and alerting.
• Resolve high-impact data issues.
• Serve as product owner for data governance tooling & metadata platforms.
• Define & maintain roadmaps for internal data products.
• Partner with engineering to integrate metadata solutions.
• Work closely with engineering, data science, analytics, security, and legal teams.
• Translate data governance needs into requirements.
• Ensure business stakeholders have access to trusted data.
• Oversee automated metadata & lineage tracking.
• Provide visibility into data flows.
• Implement controls for privacy/security regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Collaborate with Legal & Governance teams.
• Support and prepare for data audits.
• Champion data stewardship best practices.
• Lead data quality & governance education.
• Deliver dashboards, documentation, and scorecards.

Skills & Experience:

• Experience leveraging AI in work processes or problem-solving.
• BA/BS in a relevant analytical field.
• 8+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or metadata management.
• Strong cross-functional experience.
• Proficiency in SQL & Python.
• Experience with Snowflake.
• Skilled in reporting & dashboard creation (Power BI).
• Understanding of data governance principles.
• Experience implementing & monitoring data quality programs.
• Strong initiative & ownership.
• Excellent communication skills.
