Own and lead engineering efforts for our content platforms including Sanity CMS, SEO infrastructure, promo tooling, and our blog experience. Build and maintain reusable frameworks and tooling that empower content and marketing teams to move faster without sacrificing performance or brand consistency. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and marketers to bring content strategies to life through seamless, personalized experiences. Partner with engineering teams across personalization, customer data, and analytics to ensure content is contextually relevant and effectively measured. Drive best practices for SEO (structured data, performance, crawling, accessibility) across all content surfaces. Ensure code quality and platform stability through robust architecture, testing, monitoring, and documentation. Mentor engineers and contribute to a high-performance, inclusive team culture.
We require...
5+ years of frontend or full-stack engineering experience, including 2+ years in a lead or senior-level role on a modern web team. Highly proficient in React, TypeScript, and Next.js, and have a strong grasp of modern component-based architecture and SSR/ISR strategies. Hands-on experience with Sanity.io, including custom content schemas, GROQ queries, and API integrations. Deep knowledge of SEO best practices, structured data (JSON-LD), performance optimization (Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals), and accessibility standards (WCAG). Comfortable building and maintaining promo frameworks and logic-driven content components that can be controlled via CMS. Worked with GraphQL APIs and understand how to architect performant data fetching strategies. Familiar with edge deployments and platforms like Vercel, and know how to leverage CDNs and caching layers to optimize content delivery. Experience integrating with analytics and marketing tools like Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Segment, and customer data APIs. Familiar with feature flagging tools (e.g., LaunchDarkly, Split) and experimentation methodologies. Take pride in code quality and reliability, using tools like Sentry, Datadog, and automated testing frameworks such as Playwright or Jest. Enjoy mentoring and supporting fellow engineers, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment where engineering and marketing goals are closely connected.
