Role Summary:
- Build and operationalize security tools.
- Build and automate workflows and trending metrics dashboards.
- Suggest security improvements by assessing the current situation, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements.
- Create and present functional and technical designs.
- Direct and influence multi-disciplinary teams.
- Participate in security incidents and implement containment and eradication.
- Evaluate audit and vulnerability findings.
- Serve as an expert for different tools built by the team.
- Act as guidance and facilitator to security operations.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Participate in shaping security policies and standards.
- Interpret security and technical requirements.
- Communicate security risks to stakeholders.
- Influence build vs buy decisions.
- Accountable for project delivery.
- Participate in on-call roster.
- Align with product management on roadmap and feedback.
- Provide mentoring to peers.
- Leverage or critically think about integrating AI into work processes.
Must Have:
- 8+ years of Security Engineering experience.
- 5+ years of Public Cloud (GCP preferred or Azure) experience.
Preferred:
- Experience in infrastructure automation tools (AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, Terraform).
- Proficiency in Python.
- Experience with containerization (AKS or EKS).
- Experience implementing cloud native security tools (AWS Guard Duty or Azure Security Center).
Nice to Have:
- REGO experience.
Compensation: $147,300 - $257,800, plus equity, variable/incentive compensation and benefits.
Note: Base pay is a guideline and depends on qualifications, skill level, and work location.
