Full-Time Staff Security Engineer

The Staff Security Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the security of Inovalon's customers, staff, systems, and data across complex multi-cloud environments.

Responsibilities include:

• Building zero-trust architecture across multi-cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
• Analyzing, designing, and developing security automation tools and scripts.
• Implementing policy-as-code for automated security policy enforcement.
• Integrating data protection, threat management, monitoring, and platform tools.
• Creating and maintaining cloud templates, standards, and best practices.
• Conducting architecture reviews and security impact assessments.
• Providing expertise in selecting and implementing security measures.
• Leading threat assessments, identifying capability gaps, and shaping security roadmaps.
• Staying current with security trends and mentoring team members.
• Adhering to confidentiality, HIPAA, regulatory, and other policies.
• Maintaining compliance with Inovalon's policies and mission statement.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Information Technology.
• 10+ years of progressive DevOps experience with a focus on cybersecurity.
• 3+ years' experience with one or more programming languages (Python, Java, Golang, PowerShell, Bash).
• 3+ years' experience working with cloud platforms and security features (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
• 3+ years' experience using automation and security tools.
• 3+ years' experience in Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

• Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity.
• 5+ years' experience in programming languages.
• 5+ years working with cloud platforms and security features.
• 1+ year experience with IP networking, routing, and VPN fundamentals.
• Familiarity with data protection, cryptography, and key management.
• Knowledge of industry regulatory requirements (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, NIST, HITRUST).
• Cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, AWS cloud security).
