As a Staff Site Reliability Engineer, you'll be a key member of our Infrastructure team. You'll design, build, and maintain fault-tolerant systems.
You'll collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to define and meet service level objectives (SLOs), implement and enhance observability, and improve our Engineering practices.
Responsibilities:
- Design and architect solutions for continuous availability and scalability.
- Define and review Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and error budgets. Ensure new services meet reliability targets.
- Develop tools, frameworks, and platforms to streamline repetitive tasks (e.g., monitoring, incident response).
- Write software to improve reliability and security (e.g., automated testing, canary deployments).
- Participate in on-call rotations; lead and coordinate incident responses. Conduct thorough post-incident reviews.
- Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
- Advise teams on instrumentation best practices.
- Work closely with product managers, software engineers, and security teams.
Technical Skills (Required):
- 10+ years experience in production systems engineering, SRE, or DevOps.
- 10+ years experience with Linux systems administration and scripting.
- 5+ years experience with observability tools (Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus, ELK).
- 5+ years experience with microservices, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- 2+ years experience in a programming language (e.g., Python, Go) for automation and tooling.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking.
Nice to Have:
- Experience building distributed systems with GPU workloads or LLMs.
- AWS experience, cost optimization, and capacity planning.
- Experience leading incident response and conducting postmortems.
- Security awareness and familiarity with secure coding.
- Excellent communication skills.
Compensation: US $180,000 to US $230,000 (final compensation based on experience)
Employment is conditioned on meeting government contract requirements. Company may rescind offers if unable to comply.
