Full-Time Staff Software Engineer - Emerging Tech

ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a talented Staff Software Engineer to update and maintain core internal services using a modern tech stack. This role involves developing and leading a team of full-stack developers and QA engineers.

Reports to the Director of Engineering - Emerging Technologies.

Leverage expertise to select cutting-edge technologies, frameworks, and design patterns for implementation.

Provide visionary leadership and architectural direction to a team developing core services technologies that support business needs.

Take part in platform development.

Who you are:

• A hands-on, outcome-oriented, technology-focused engineer with extensive experience as a team lead.
• Strong partnership with product teams, ensuring alignment between technological innovation and product development goals.

What you will do:

• Lead mission-critical projects and deliver platform capabilities end-to-end, with high quality.
• Own one or more products or platform spaces.
• Collaborate with partners and customers to receive feedback for your product space.
• Build and grow engineering skills in challenging areas, solving complex problems.
• Influence architecture, technology selections, and trends company-wide.
• Collaborate with peers to design complex applications, review code, and suggest optimizations.
• Enable continuous deployment by championing quality engineering practices (linting, unit testing, e2e testing, pipeline automation).
• Collaborate with product teams to build and maintain design system standards, processes, and adoption.
• Create reference implementations for mentoring junior staff (when required).
• Help define engineering best practices and provide technical mentorship.
• Investigate and resolve production issues (from UI to service layer) and prevent future occurrences.
• Work with project managers to ensure timely and high-quality project deliverables.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• Strong communication and "storytelling" skills.
• Role model and champion modern ways of working (Agile, DevOps).
• Thrive in fast-paced environments.
• Expert with .NET, from legacy Framework to .NET Core.
• Strong passion for new technologies and innovation.
• Prioritize high-quality, production-ready code.
