- Use JavaScript (a lot!): especially modern ES7+ standards.
- Design, implement, and maintain high-quality frontend applications, libraries, and internal tools.
- Build new features for a massively trafficked platform (everything you do matters).
- Collaborate on technical specifications and system-level designs.
- Lead by example with clean, maintainable, and testable code and thorough unit/integration testing.
- Perform and guide peer code reviews.
- Work closely with backend engineers, coordinating API contracts and end-to-end solutions.
- Contribute to agile development cycles, regularly demoing completed work.
- Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and techniques.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to developers.
- Influence and support development standards, build tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
Must-Haves:
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- 8+ years of frontend development experience, ideally building high-availability, scalable systems.
- Expertise in Vanilla JavaScript, OOP, clean code, and design patterns.
- Proven experience with React, Redux, and Redux-Saga.
- Hands-on experience in HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox, Grid), and preprocessors (Sass/Less)
- Solid understanding of the JavaScript ecosystem (NPM, Babel, Node.js).
- Comfortable with GitFlow and agile workflows.
- Knowledge of frontend build tools (Webpack, Gulp).
- Experience writing unit and integration tests (Jest), and understanding of TDD.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs and backend services.
- Fluent English (B2+) - written and verbal.
- Command-line proficiency.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with TypeScript or type-safe JS (Flow, etc)
- Hands-on knowledge of WebRTC, WebSockets, or real-time tools.
- Experience building for mobile browsers and responsive design.
- Knowledge of Next.js, Chakra UI, and Yarn.
- Familiarity with GraphQL, RDBMS/NoSQL, or large-scale data systems.
- Understanding of ServiceWorkers, streaming technologies, and performance optimization.
