Full-Time Technical Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst to drive API implementations and integration projects.

The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering, product management, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze technical specifications, and facilitate seamless API integrations.

You will be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring successful API adoption and alignment with business objectives.

Role Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering, and Business teams to define API implementation strategies for Housing Business.
• Work with developers to ensure APIs meet functional, technical, and security requirements.
• Drive API adoption by working with clients, partners, and internal teams to integrate Experian’s APIs into housing platforms.
• Ensure smooth API versioning, backward compatibility, and support lifecycle management.
• Gather and document business and technical requirements for API integrations with Mortgage and Housing Partners.
• Translate complex business needs into structured API specifications, workflows, use cases, and clear and actionable user stories with detailed acceptance criteria.
• Conduct a gap analysis to identify opportunities for product enhancements and API improvements.
• Define API authentication models and data exchange standards.
• Act as a liaison between Product, Engineering, Data, Compliance, and Business stakeholders to ensure API solutions meet business objectives.
• Collaborate with QA teams to define test cases for API validation, including functional, performance, and security testing.
• Support User Acceptance Testing by gathering feedback, troubleshooting issues, and recommending fixes.
• Work with API monitoring tools to track API usage and performance and identify potential bottlenecks.
• Create and maintain detailed API documentation, user guides, and integration playbooks for clients and internal teams.
• Develop process flows, and technical diagrams to illustrate API workflows.
• Identify opportunities for automation and optimization in API integration processes.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, or similar role in software development.
• Strong understanding of the housing industry, tenant screening, and rental ecosystem.
• Experience in API-driven solutions for housing, fintech, or financial services (preferred).
• Expertise in RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, OAuth, JWT, and API security best practices.
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Swagger, SoapUI) and API management platforms (Apigee, AWS API Gateway).
• Ability to analyze data models, schemas, and API payloads for integrations.
• Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL databases, and data transformation techniques for API data mapping.
• Strong ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Experience collaborating with engineering, product management, compliance, and external partners.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, managing API implementation backlogs and sprints.
• Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and other project management tools.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to think and communicate creatively, thoughtfully, and adeptly with diverse technical and non-technical groups spanning all organizational levels.
