This is a highly hands-on, data-focused role ideal for someone with strong technical skills and a curiosity for uncovering the “why” behind financial and operational trends. You will work directly with large datasets from billing and finance systems, using SQL and Excel to extract, transform, and communicate insights that support business decisions.
Top Priorities for This Role:
- SQL & Data Mining:
- Write and maintain complex SQL queries.
- Convert vendor reports into structured datasets using SQL.
- Ensure data accuracy.
- Work with tools like RiverRock.
- Excel-Based Financial Analytics:
- Build advanced Excel models.
- Use Power Query, PivotTables to automate reporting.
- Develop tools for stakeholders to understand trends.
- Operational Insight from Data:
- Analyze trends in billing, usage to understand business performance.
- Support revenue assurance through data validation.
- Participate in initiatives like license management.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements and dashboards.
- Perform variance analysis.
- Collaborate cross-functionally.
- Continuously improve reporting workflows.
- Take ownership of ad hoc projects.
What You Bring:
- Chartered Accountant or equivalent.
- 5–7 years of experience in financial reporting or analytics.
- Advanced SQL skills required.
- Expert in Excel.
- Strong analytical mindset.
- Comfortable working independently.
- Clear communicator.
