Red Wing Brands of America is seeking a Territory Account Representative to join our Wholesale team.
This role will manage a defined set of accounts in a territory including parts of Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Candidate must live within this territory.
This role primarily focuses on managing and nourishing existing client relationships and meeting sales targets through effective sales strategies and customer service in the independent sales channel.
Essential Duties include:
- Delivering wholesale revenue, volume, and targets for the defined territory by growing both existing and new accounts.
- Demonstrating and explaining product features, benefits, and value proposition to customers for new and existing products to drive adoption and assortment expansion.
- Adhering to a defined Sales Methodology and Benchmarks by negotiating and closing sales deals.
- Analyzing account performance, strategically partnering with accounts to solicit and facilitate in-season orders, and fielding customer inquiries and support requests.
- Providing merchant support and resources to accounts, including merchandising support materials, standards, and in-store support.
- Conducting in-store sales and product training clinics for assigned independent retailers.
- Partnering with accounts to accelerate product sales through their stores by leveraging marketing partnerships, industrial accounts, and sales incentives.
- Cultivating brand awareness with customers and consumers through tradeshows, consumer shows, in-market training, and brand partnerships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in business, sales, or retail management.
- Footwear experience is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Identifying market trends and account needs and reacting to market activity to reach sales goals.
- Understanding procedural and technical product knowledge to identify products that meet customer needs.
- Developing and maintaining a solid understanding of the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) system.
- Acquiring a comprehensive grasp of RWS products and integrating this knowledge with SIC insights to support market initiatives.
- Promoting and elevating awareness of Industrial programs.
- Learning retail financials and applying general retail MAP knowledge.
- Gaining proficiency in retail financial metrics for informed decisions.
- Adapting to and learning local market demands.
- Cultivating an awareness of cultural factors influencing market behavior.
- Consuming and interpreting internal analytical data to inform strategic decisions.
- Strong relationship and communication building skills for building rapport and collaborating cross-functionally.
Work Environment
Home office with frequent travel to customer environments and business travel, including annual sales meetings.
