This position supports Experian Consumer Services (ECS). The Vice President of Business Data Strategy will define, implement, and scale an overarching business data strategy to drive consumer value, engagement, and monetization.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute a long-term data strategy for optimal data collection, management, and utilization to enhance consumer engagement and monetization.
  • Develop a near-term and future vision of data's impact on the industry, including its role as an asset.
  • Articulate a data and media strategy focused on digital storefront transformation into media companies to drive engagement and revenue growth.
  • Champion data architecture and platform harmonization across consumer websites/apps, retail media, and lead-generation systems.
  • Partner with CRM, Content, and Product teams to leverage first-party data for competitive advantage while adhering to ethical and compliance standards.
  • Lead data-driven solutions initiatives from ideation to monetization/GTM.
  • Oversee data partnerships budget and acquisition strategy.
  • Develop and execute a partnership roadmap for third-party data assets.
  • Build partnerships with external data providers and technology firms.
  • Pilot advanced data-driven media solutions.
  • Lead cross-business unit partnerships related to data opportunities.
  • Test and co-create data projects with key media players.
  • Define and lead the data innovation roadmap integrating AI/ML/predictive analytics.
  • Build frameworks for data-driven experimentation and monetization.
  • Expand data monetization capabilities (predictive analytics, audience segmentation, insights).
  • Collaborate with Marketplace and Marketing on GTM approaches for B2B partners.
  • Drive data collection and revenue growth with data-informed media strategies.
  • Develop data ethics standards.
  • Develop data capabilities for media applications (e.g., audience development, campaign objectives).
  • Develop dashboards for B2B customers providing consumer, category, and merchant insights.
  • Build frameworks for campaign and media content optimization.
  • Partner with Product and Technology teams to ensure data strategies are embedded in product roadmaps.
  • Collaborate on user-centric features and applications using data insights.
  • Collaborate on scalable and secure data systems for real-time analytics.
  • Ensure alignment between business and technical teams.
  • Lead data-specific cross-BU initiatives.
  • Cultivate a data-centric organizational culture.
  • Define organizational model and team for data strategy execution.
  • Lead and grow a multidisciplinary data team.
  • Serve on the ECS leadership team.
  • Act as a champion for data-driven innovation.
  • Develop internal and external data strategy education plans.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in data strategy, personalization, analytics, or media.
  • Experience driving data monetization and consumer engagement.
  • Background in data strategy and leadership within a leading agency/consumer digital platform.
  • Deep expertise in first-party data, audience segmentation, predictive analytics, and AI/ML.
  • Strong understanding of data partnerships, acquisitions, and third-party data integration.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams (data science, engineering, product, marketing).
  • Knowledge of data privacy, compliance, and ethical data use.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in corporate strategy, investment decisions, and M&A.
  • Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Track record of driving innovation.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical teams.
