Water Treatment Troubleshooting Specialist
This is not an IT role. Do not apply if you have IT experience.
Technical Support
Focus on post-commissioning technical support, warranty claim management, and customer issue resolution.
Provide world-class support to ES install base customers.
Manage customer issues to closure during regular business hours and 24/7 after-hours support.
Implement all necessary EHS, design standards, procedures, governance, and processes to represent the company as a customer-facing Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Work under pressure, making operational decisions under challenging deadlines.
Strong people management and technical skills.
Responsibilities
- Support customers globally who have purchased Veolia-based systems or products.
- Ensure Veolia customers (install base) have the best customer experience.
- Organize and drive feedback to engineering and product management for continuous product and project delivery improvement.
- Manage incoming customer issues/claims using available tools to track and communicate cases until solutions are provided to customer satisfaction.
- Represent the Veolia technical support team as an active 24/7 after-hours on-call representative.
- Manage customer warranty claims within assigned DOA levels, working with business groups (CSC, Engineering, Project/Product Management, After Market Services, etc.) to execute claim closure, parts identification, and service opportunity identification.
- Train operators on alarms, sequences, modes, CLC, and OSC (via phone, webcasts, or site visits).
- Demonstrated understanding of Controls/Programming/Networks across various water treatment systems.
- Mechanical experience and know-how (hands-on, reading and interpreting drawings, etc.) with water treatment equipment (pumps, valves, instrumentation, relief valves, regulators, pneumatic systems, etc.).
- Electrical experience and know-how (hands-on, reading and interpreting drawings, etc.) with electrical panels and water treatment equipment.
- Support various mechanical issues with equipment outside of Veolia core products (3rd-party vendor supplied equipment and parts).
- Support hydraulic issues, including review of customer-designed piping arrangements to resolve water hammer and air entrainment issues.
- Support instrumentation, calibration, and set-point inquiries for Veolia systems (flow, pressure, temperature, level, pH, DO, conductivity/resistivity).
- Support process-related issues (chemical dosages, best practices, and daily plant operation).
Qualifications/Requirements
- BS in STEM field and/or 5+ years of experience in water/wastewater treatment projects or related fields.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and operate independently.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
Shift
8am-5pm CST, plus 24/7 on-call coverage (25% of the time).
Desired
- Knowledge of Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions.
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience working on Veolia WTS products.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) knowledge.
- Focus on customer relationships.
- Working knowledge of PLC & HMI/SCADA programming/troubleshooting (Rockwell, GE-IP, Emerson preferred).
- Working knowledge of industrial networking and fieldbus.

Salary Range
$70,000-$90,000
