About the role We seek a highly skilled Web Analyst (5+ years experience) to join our dynamic digital strategy team. The role focuses on web data analysis, driving regional web strategies, enhancing user experience, and optimizing website performance. This role is open to candidates residing in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Analytics Implementation & Optimization: Manage and optimize web analytics and tag management solutions. Ensure accurate tracking and data consistency, and adhere to data protection regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze web data for trends, insights, and opportunities. Experience with full-funnel metric assessments, UTM standardization, and campaign hierarchy is essential. Ability to pull reports from multiple platforms and set up dashboards.
- Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Lead the web experimentation roadmap, collaborating with Growth and Analytics teams.
- SEO & Content Strategy Support: Provide insights informing content strategies, keyword opportunities, and website optimizations for improved organic search rankings.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Share insights with marketing, sales, product, and IT teams to integrate web analytics into broader strategies.
- Benchmarking and SoT: Partner with Marketing Data Analytics to define web benchmarks, KPIs, and data source of truth (SoT) across regional websites.
- Cultural Alignment: Champion and embody Samsara's cultural principles (Customer Success, Long-Term Vision, Growth Mindset, Inclusivity, Teamwork).
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or STEM field
- 2+ years of web analytics experience, demonstrating data-driven decision-making
- Expertise in web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), tag management systems (Google Tag Manager, Tealium), and SEO tools
- Strong analytical skills, statistical analysis, and A/B testing experience
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and BI tools for data analysis
- General understanding of digital marketing, web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), UX/UI principles
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Certifications in Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics (preferred)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Salesforce, SQL, Tableau, Contentsquare, and Mixpanel
Compensation
Base salary range: CAD $110,500 - $143,000
