Part-Time Adjunct Graduate Nursing Faculty

Adjunct Graduate Nursing Faculty, PMHNP - Wilkes University

Responsibilities:

• Teach online Graduate Nursing courses (PMHNP).
• Demonstrate strong understanding and experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Clinical Modalities in Advanced Psych/MH Nursing (didactic)
• Psychopathology, Theories & Advanced Clinical Modality (didactic)
• Psychopharmacology (didactic)
• Advanced Practice in Psych/MH Nursing I (clinical)
• Advanced Practice in Psych/MH Nursing II (clinical)

Requirements:

• Doctorally prepared (or planning to pursue a doctoral degree within the next five years)
• PMHNP certification required
• Unencumbered RN license (for didactic courses) in compact state
• Master's prepared is acceptable for clinical courses (if applicable) or already hold/eligible for Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioner (NP) license at the time of teaching
• Experience in clinical practice
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to monitor and grade clinical logs, offering student feedback
• Minimum of 2 years of successful online teaching experience at the graduate level
• Proven ability to engage students in active learning
• Experience with learning management systems (LMSs); D2L / Brightspace preferred
