Part-Time Adjunct Nursing Faculty - Online

We are seeking Adjunct Nursing Faculty to join our online team. Location Requirement: Must live outside of California. RN License: A current California RN license is required. Other RN licenses may be requested.

Job Responsibilities:

• Facilitate online courses for pre-licensure Workforce Development Programs and/or BSN/MSN programs (CA, NM, AZ, NV).
• Utilize existing curriculum and deliver course content utilizing the LMS.
• Improve instruction quality through innovative methodologies.
• Review and revise syllabi and instructional guidelines.
• Evaluate student progress and provide timely feedback.
• Assist with program strategic planning and assessment.
• Maintain student records (attendance, grades, data collection).
• Provide ongoing communication via office hours, electronic communication, and other methods.
• Participate in professional development (CE hours, college updates).
• Serve as subject matter expert (SME).
• Participate in curriculum and evaluation committees.
• Conduct weekly recorded synchronous sessions (Zoom, MS Teams, etc.) for courses with unit/final exams.
• Hold a minimum of four (4) weekly office hours.
• Analyze and review exams for assigned courses.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• RN Licensure: Current, unencumbered RN licensure in any state or eligibility.
• California RN Licensure: Desired, current and unencumbered licensure in California.
• Instructor Approval: Eligible for approval by CA BRN as Instructor for specified specialties (Medical-Surgical, OB, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Community Health, or Geriatrics).
• Masters in Nursing: Required.
• Terminal Degree: Preferred (DNP, EdD, PhD).
• Meeting Faculty Requirements: Must meet all requirements set by California's Board of Registered Nursing.
• Experience: Demonstrated knowledge of nursing practice, mentoring skills, effective communication, previous online teaching experience (LMS).
• Knowledge: Educational methodologies, current concepts/clinical practice, distance education techniques.
• Technical Skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
