Analytics Engineer II to join our Data team.
Oscar is the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform.
The Analytics Engineer II plays a leading role in designing, implementing, optimizing, and maintaining Oscar’s analytics platform.
Responsibilities:
- Develop expertise of Oscar’s analytics technologies and tools.
- Design, build, and implement the next generation of CDS using technologies such as DBT, Github actions.
- Optimize existing data models for reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
- Administer the analytics platform and participate in support channels.
- Lead short-to-mid term projects for optimizing the analytics tech stack.
- Participate in ‘build or buy’ analyses.
- Develop best practices for engineering and analytics development.
- Collaborate with business users and subject matter experts to explore data and define requirements.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of BI tools (Looker, Looker Studio).
- Train and mentor data scientists and data engineers.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Analytics Engineering experience.
- 3+ years of SQL, DDL, and DML experience.
- 2+ years of experience with a semantic modeling language (e.g., LookML).
- 2+ years of DBT experience.
- 2+ years of cloud database tools (GCP, AWS, Azure) experience.
- 1+ years of experience working with and presenting to non-technical stakeholders.
Bonus Points: Experience with Looker, Tableau, Power BI, DBT-Looker integration, healthcare data, and GCP.
Work Location: Oscar is a blended work culture. Remote/work-from-home, with in-office expectations two days per week in NYC, Tempe, or LA.
Pay Transparency: California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington: $119,200 - $156,450 per year.
