Job Details
We are seeking Industry Professionals to share their knowledge with undergraduate BSN nursing students on-site in New Orleans, LA.
Anatomy & Physiology I-IV with Lab (BIOS-251 thru BIOS-256): This is a four-course sequence in which human anatomy and physiology are studied using a body systems approach. Coursework emphasizes interrelationships between form and function at the gross and microscopic levels of organization.
Topics include:
- Basic anatomical and directional terminology, muscle tissues, fundamental concepts and principles of cell biology, history and the integumentary and skeletal systems
- Fundamental concepts and principles of the muscular and nervous systems, special senses and the endocrine system
- Cardiovascular, immune and respiratory systems
- Digestive, urinary and reproductive systems
Courses may meet once per week or twice a week for eight weeks.
Responsibilities
- Develops and provides students with an approved syllabus.
- Organizes, prepares, and regularly revises and update all course materials.
- Uses appropriate technological options for online technologies.
- Models effective oral and written communications.
- Sets clear expectations for the course.
- Ensures that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives.
- Demonstrates consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams, and provide timely feedback to students.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Earned a master's or doctorate degree in the course subject.
- Are able to provide official transcripts for all earned degrees.
- Have taught or been told you’re a “natural” at teaching and helping others learn.
- Possess genuine passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning.
- Have exceptional subject matter expertise as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
