Our client is a major IT service provider in Germany serving banks. They offer a broad range of services including app development, mainframe support, consulting, and migration projects, being a part of the Cooperative Financial Network.
About the Project: You'll join a project for a leading European financial services provider.
Team: A team of over 40 Application Support Engineers, growing, is seeking to take on more responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Support critical banking operations for stability and performance.
- Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Maintain and support applications on Linux and Oracle environments.
- Improve documentation and internal standards.
- Collaborate and learn from experienced peers.
- Use tools like Graylog, SNMP, and Jira.
Must-Haves:
- 3+ years in application support or similar.
- Solid experience with Linux (Redhat), Shell scripting, and Oracle databases.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Business-level English (B2+).
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
- Self-driven and adaptable.
Nice-to-Have:
- Familiarity with Agree21 banking software.
- Experience with monitoring tools (Graylog, SNMP).
- Knowledge of Jira and ITIL best practices.
- Understanding of incident management and RCA processes.
