Full-Time Application Support Engineer

About the Role: Application Support Engineer at Gemini, a leading crypto exchange.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to institutional and retail customers, focusing on Gemini APIs, network connectivity, and application support.
• Investigate and communicate application issues with development teams, referencing logs.
• Gather client requirements and create specifications for features.
• Maintain and deploy API documentation, considering engineering changes.
• Assist Retail support teams with operational tools.
• Clearly articulate issues to customers to build confidence.
• Assist with FIX and Web API customer onboarding and certification.
• Provide second-level support to sales and business development teams.
• Develop and customize operational and monitoring tools for customer support.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in technical or engineering concentration
• 3+ years experience in a technical support role at an Exchange, OMS, or other Financial Services Technology provider
• Deep understanding of FIX protocol and network connectivity
• Working knowledge of SQL databases and querying
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Experience navigating systems, using Unix terminals, and measuring system performance
• Working knowledge of Python or other scripting languages

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cryptocurrency/blockchain
• FIX application issue resolution skills
• Project management experience (e.g., PMP)
• Experience with Splunk, Looker, ZenDesk, or Grafana

Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000 (New York, California, Washington)
